I know oppo had some cyclists. what do you ride?!
I only have some really crappy pictures right now, but I have a 2005 (i think) devinci CX3 road bike, a 2009 Trek Fuel EX 8, and a old peugeot fixie that I traded a Specialized
stumpjumper
hardrock for.
Carbon frame, aluminum wheels. I forgot what it weighed exactly, but I think it was in the 22lb range
^the fixie (yes, it does have a flip-flop hub)
^the EX cam to 24 pounds, 5 ounces fully ready to ride, water bottle cages, full aluminum bike

I have a purple and grey something something, 10mm steel frame (rough estimate due to the weight of the damn thing), no suspension whatsoever and built like a fucking W123 x Volvo 245 x Hilux x 10. I have no idea how old it is but it has a sticker on the back that says "checked in 1992", bought that heap of junk for five quid and yet it still rides better than any of the newer bikes I owned in the past couple of years. Probably down to the fact that it is so old that the parts on it were actually made in germany. Best bike I ever had.

Seriously? That would be awesome! The only reason I havent replaced it is because a new one is outrageously expensive and this one still kinda works if you adjust it right

BTW, before you complain check that:
the stops are good
the cable itsnt binding
the cable is set right (let derailluer down to last gear, move shifter to last gear. pull and tighten cable)
your cable adjuster isnt too far out
and that the hanger and the acutal derailluer isnt bent.
Im not sure if I have anything, as I recently cleaned out the garage, but I'll see

Ya, Im gonna do an adjustment soon, But I have a feeling the cables are stretched. Thanks, it'll be a big help if you can get me a different derailleur. My current derailleur is just a crap model, it doesnt like to go into 1st on the crank or 3rd on the crank

There is nothing like feeling the wind in your face and the tension of the chain in your feet through the pedals, while going 0ver 25MPH. No feeling like it

I have a 2009 Rockhopper that I scored for cheap during the end-of-season sale. It was my primary mode of transportation throughout college even after I got a car.
Tricked it out over the years with a new rear cassette (smaller rear cog for that top speed), new cables and chain, better rear brake, new grips (old ones melted into my hands), and Serfas Drifters (fantastic 26" hybrid tires). It was a pretty beastly thing and I could get some serious speed on campus and carry it through the roundabouts!
Then some dickweed stole it from my apartment, but the cops found it 48 hours later a town over in great shape. While the guy butchered the fitment, broke the front shifter, and chopped up my handlebars and the brand-new Oury grips, he did polish it and clean up some of the stuff. Also scored free bike lights and a frame pump. Fun fact: the guy got busted for trying to sell another stolen bike just a month or so after this one. Got busted by the same police department, too.
I haven't touched it since I graduated. It's sitting in my garage, waiting for a new derailleur hanger after I bent the old one in a huge crash.

My brother was looking at getting a Fuel when he worked at a shop dealing Trek, can't remember why he didn't get one.
No pictures of my bikes (and they're still at my parent's house 120 miles away....), but I have a 2009 Surly Karate Monkey SS Rigid 29er, and a 2013 Surly Cross Check CX. Both need to get down to my apartment and get some miles on them......

A really old GT Avalanche 3.0 . Bought it used for 110 euro about... 10 years ago?
> full Deore XT swap
> no name rims cause I wrecked a few so whatever
> no name tyres cause city is full of drunks ergo glass shards
> nearly siezed RST Capa CL forks, 'bout to get swapped for some Rock Shock Dart II
This banger is so damn versatile I can take it to the hills, school and on long ass multi day mixed surface trips and it takes it all like a champ. Sure, I could put smoother tyres on for road tripping, but when you see some nice trails, you'd just be blueballing. And that's never good on a bike. And besides, I've got some chub to burn, so why (not) handicap myself? Also, triple triangle geometry = fucking baller, as Matt Farah would put it.
Prior to this aluminum framed technological marvel, I used to scoot about on this heavy as shit Shimano Hurricane , smuggled over from Italy to avoid import tax:
Pretty sure the sticker saying Shimano Hurricane is there for shits and giggles. Doesn't look all that heavy, huh? Steel frame. Steel forks. Steel handlebars. I added the horns (dunno what you call 'em in English) and the luggage rack. Steel, d'oh. The bottle carrier and mudguards were plastic, so that was nice. Went like stink downhill. We still visited a bunch of places together, and once, on an Alpine hairpin, I screwed up and entered it way too hot. I mean, I've done the previous three swimmingly and kept increasing the speed. Fortunately, this one was facing the hillside so I just ended up rolling on the grass for a bit. Were this an odd numbered hairpin, I woulda been tumbling down some limestoney hills. I still have it and plan on reviving it as a city runner. The knobbly tires are staying, of course. :D
An honorary mention, I sometimes borrow my brother's 2008ish Cube AIM . It's neat, 2.25 Schwalbe Smart Sams on it, some alright wheels, Alivio (gtfo) gearset. Might have been swapped to Deore, though. Heck if I know. Neat comfy cruiser, can take some abuse, but bro's a little bitch about wear and tear, so, eh. Look at him in his fancy gear. Point and laugh! Also, some people say he looks like Räikönnen. When he wears a red hat and sits around in Monaco. And two Italian dudes mull around him for a few minutes. Think Niki Lauda in Rush, with the broken down car scene.
Also, I had a tiny, blue, locally made BMX as a kid, which I ran into armco and flipped myself over into some stinging nettles. It looked very much like this, except the wheels. Plastic wheels look nice, but they're for suckas. And of course I had the nutsmash protectors, what are you, crazy? That shit is pimpin'.
Prolly best I get to bed, it's 5:12 am here.

I despise over-equipping, is all. :) For a nice 80 mile cruise down to the coast, I don't think it was necessary. Okay, maybe a bit. But people who go out for a 5 mile ride, if that... Just, don't.

I ride a Norco Olympia hybrid (but more road-focused) bike. It has a steel frame, cargo rack, fenders, lights and a bike computer. It's nothing fancy, but I want something that is durable and can handle the extra weight of some cargo. I use it to commute to work sometimes and when I go downtown, bike is the fastest and cheapest way. I've even used it for shopping. It wasn't expensive new... $300 for the bike plus $200 for the accessories and installation. I've put about 20,000km on it over the past 10 years.
It looks something like this:
bicycle-itis.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/20110622-113341.jpg
...but with a rack on the back and fenders.
